Using a color language will make it easier to talk to your clients, even though they do not speak the same language. When explaining about colors you can express yourself in a way that everyone can understand since it is based on how all of us perceive colors visually.
If the client almost likes one color, you can easily talk about how to adjust the color in whiteness, chromaticness, blackness and the hue. Instead of saying apple green and try to explain which apple you visualize, a Granny Smith or your neighbours’ tree, you can look at different green colors and navigate through the NCS System; quick and easy.
From this part of the course, we want you to bring the feeling of comfort, now when you have a colour language. You will understand that white colors, many times are chosen because of fear of color. After this course you will be able to help your customers to conquer their fear of color to make conscious and satisfying color choices.

You now know that color combinations can be done easily with the smartness of the NCS System. You can now always check a color combination to make sure the colors harmonise and the symbolic feeling is of that combination. Since a color almost never lives alone, it is important to understand how a certain combination of colors is perceived.
Black and yellow together are many times associated with warnings. Keep that in mind and other combinations functions when giving advice of color combinations.

Small nuance differences might not be as important as an exact Coca Cola reference when advising a color in a bedroom. But the nuance and hue might matter in another way when it comes to a customers’ space. Not knowing how the colour will be perceived in a customers’ space might result that a pink color looks purple, or a beige color looking green.
Therefore, a small nuance difference might make a bigger impact in your customers space than you intended. In this course you will learn how to handle the color change to make sure that the customers beige colored living room stays beige and does not turn in to green.

It is important to keep in mind when a customer first and foremost is looking for a white color and you would like to introduce them other colors, it is not about always to go too chromatic. Stay within the low chromatic area and you just might be able to convince your customer to step out of their comfort zone and chose a color that is not white.

Finally, one thing you always need to remember is that you are not advising in colours YOU like, but what your CUSTOMER likes. Even if you do not like green for example, you still need to understand which type of green that is best suited for them in relation to their home. This can be done by understanding the color design principles and how colors are perceived differently between a color sample and a painted room or house.
